Every Mother | Brand Session in San Francisco

One of the things I really love about doing brand photos for small companies is collaborating with people who are offering wonderful and positive things to the world. I love being able to help them by getting their work out there for more people’s eyes to see. For some brands, the photos I make for them are their first round of professional marketing images - eek! For others, I’m picking up the baton passed from fellow photographers over the years and different iterations of that brand.

The images below are from a recent shoot I did for Every Mother, a women-founded, owned, and operated small company that offers fitness and wellness programs for pregnant and postpartum mamas. Every Mother is all about helping new moms safely reclaim their strength and fitness during and after childbirth. When I was shooting these ladies doing their thing, even though it’s been many years since I was a new mom, I found myself learning some much better and much sounder ways to exercise.

Of course the best part for me when shooting for small, women-led companies is meeting the smart and driven and visionary women who steer the ship. The founder, Leah, is a bright star I’ve known for many years. Originally, we met when she hired me to take newborn photos after the birth of her baby boy. It feels great to now be making images with her in a new capacity. I can’t forget Aylin, Leah’s yoga specialist who exudes warmth and an insane body intelligence. I loved spending the afternoon with you ladies!
