There is no other way to describe this session except dreamy. There is no other way to describe this woman except as an embodied healer. Melanie L Wood offers comprehensive practices to help people align with their deepest selves. She does this through a variety of modalities and just being in her presence for a couple hours felt like a grounding respite.

We met at the Botanical Gardens in San Francisco and walked around, finding the prettiest light and loveliest pockets of greenery. Melanie was on board to experiment and get a little weird, which of course is my favorite way to shoot! I loved how she was able to go inward to the places she wanted reflected in photos - full yoga poses, breath work, sound healing, and a little bit of play

After the Botanical Gardens, we headed to Ocean Beach. Ocean Beach being Ocean Beach, we got the four seasons of San Francisco over the course of an hour - ha! I’m not complaining though - it created the most dramatic light and serious MOOD. I’ll take all of it. ;)
